The Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector, model 900-CUDR, is a combination alarm that uses a single alarm to detect smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide gas. It is powered by two AA batteries (included) to ensure protection during power failures. Equipped with self-testing components, the Kidde Alarm continuously checks its operation to ensure it functions properly. The alarm utilizes photoelectric sensing technology to detect visible fire particles from smoldering fires and an electrochemical sensor to detect carbon monoxide.

In the event of smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide detection, the Kidde alarm emits an 85-decibel alarm sound and flashes red LEDs. Three LED warning lights indicate the alarm status: green for normal operation, amber for faulty operation or connection, and red for smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide presence. When the smoke alarm reaches the end of its lifespan, it will prompt a replacement with an announcement.

The Smart-Hush button can silence the alarm for approximately 8 minutes, useful for situations like routine cooking or shower steam triggering the alarm. It is recommended to install a carbon monoxide smoke detector on every level of your home and near bedrooms for enhanced safety. The alarm is UL Certified with a 10-year limited manufacturer's warranty and meets the requirements of various safety standards.
