Utilizing photoelectric sensing technology for visible fire particles and an electrochemical sensor for carbon monoxide, the Kidde alarm alerts with an 85-decibel sound, flashing red LEDs, and voice alerts saying "Fire! Fire!" for smoke or fire events, and "Warning! Carbon Monoxide!" for CO detection. When the alarm reaches the end of its lifespan, it announces "Replace Alarm!".
