The Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector, model 900-CUDR, is a combination alarm that detects smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide gas using a single unit. Operating on two AA batteries (included), this alarm provides protection during power failures. It is equipped with self-testing components that continuously monitor the unit to ensure proper operation.

Using photoelectric sensing technology to detect visible fire particles and an electrochemical sensor for carbon monoxide detection, this alarm will sound an 85-decibel alarm and flash red LEDs in the event of smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide. Three LED warning lights indicate the alarm status: green for normal operation, amber for errors, and red for emergencies.

When the alarm reaches the end of its life span, it will signal to be replaced. A Smart-Hush button allows the unit to be silenced for approximately 8 minutes, useful for situations like routine cooking or shower steam.
