Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector with 9V Battery

The BRK Brands, Inc. model No SCO2 is a battery-powered single station combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm designed specifically for residential and institutional applications, including sleeping rooms in hospitals, hotels, motels, dormitories, and other multi-family dwellings as defined in standard NFPA 101. Model SCO2B complies with UL217, UL2034, CSFM, NFPA 72, NFPA 720, HUD, FHA, and other agencies that base their codes on the aforementioned agencies.

The BRK SCO2B features a dual ionization smoke sensing chamber, an electrochemical carbon monoxide sensor, a 9V battery operation, an 85dB horn, an End of Life indicator, and a silence feature. The SCO2B comes with a 9V alkaline battery, while the SCO2LB uses a 9V long-life lithium battery. The alarm utilizes "Intelligent Sensing Technology" to minimize false alarms, and the "Latching Alarm Indicator" remembers which unit set off the alarm, flashing the LED indicator in a specific pattern.

The alarm also features the "Perfect Mount" system, which includes a gasket-less base and a mounting bracket that securely holds the alarm in place over a wide rotation range for optimal alignment. A single button test/silence button simplifies operation, and the side-load battery compartment allows for easy battery installation and replacement while the unit is mounted on the ceiling or wall.

Additional Contractor Preferred features include a dust cover to protect the alarm during construction, as well as two locking features to prevent battery or alarm theft. The alarm is suitable for wall or ceiling mounting and includes mounting anchors and screws for installation.
