The Kidde KN-COSM-BA Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector is a versatile safety device that combines two essential detectors in one unit. Using ionization sensing technology, it can detect invisible fire particles, while its electrochemical sensor is designed to identify carbon monoxide. In the event of a smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide emergency, this alarm emits an 85-decibel sound, flashes LEDs, and provides voice alerts.

For smoke detection, the alarm will audibly announce "Fire! Fire!" accompanied by a flashing red LED. In the case of carbon monoxide detection, the alarm will sound with the warning "Warning! Carbon Monoxide!". Additionally, a "Low Battery!" announcement is made when the battery needs replacement.

Powered by 2-AA batteries, this alarm remains operational even during power outages. Its front-door battery compartment allows for easy battery replacement without the need to disconnect the unit from the ceiling. A Smart Hush button can silence the alarm for approximately 8 minutes in case of nuisance alarms, such as those triggered by routine cooking or shower steam.
